Now, users can manage their preferences among the 10 most popular topics on TikTok such as artistic videos, dance, well-being, food, or even humor.

Even though keyword filters were already present in the TikTok app, we should now see new "smart" keyword filters, or "smart keywords".

Until now, keyword filters were only limited to specific terms, which can make some of them ineffective when a term can be written in various ways or used with acronyms.

On the new version of TikTok, Artificial intelligence is used to analyze up to 200 keywords per user, and take into account all synonyms, spelling mistakes, and all forms of abbreviations that could be used.

While TikTok is regularly criticized for being an overly addictive app, especially among younger people who could become addicted in less than 35 minutes according to a Recent leak, ByteDance wants to show its credentials.

Every evening, starting at 10 p.m., TikTok users will now have access to a guided meditation feature to encourage users to disconnect. According to a study conducted by the social network, this feature was 98% effective among teenagers.
