Travel without breaking the bank: B&YOU launches its eSIM plan for the summer that breaks down borders

Just in time for summer, Bouygues Telecom is launching what it bills as the first 100% eSIM plan designed for international travel. Called the "Summer Edition," this travel-friendly offer has a simple promise. For €14.99 per month, this no-commitment plan allows you to benefit from a 150 GB of data allowance, of which 40 GB can be used in more than 110 destinations.

From the Maghreb to Japan, (almost) unlimited connectivity

The real advantage of this "Summer Edition" plan is the list of countries included. In addition to Europe and European classics like Switzerland, B&YOU includes destinations popular with the French: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Turkey, Senegal and even the United Arab Emirates.

The offer doesn't stop there and extends to America (United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico) and Asia (China, Japan, India, Thailand), thus covering, according to an internal study by the operator, nearly 90% of its customers' roaming needs.

eSIM, the modern traveler's secret weapon

B&YOU's bet is based on a technology that is establishing itself as the new standard: eSIM. This virtual SIM card, directly integrated into recent smartphones, is a radical game changer. No more waiting to receive a physical chip or juggling a paperclip to open your phone. Subscription is done online and the plan is activated in just a few clicks.

Even if the physical SIM card is resisting, Bouygues Telecom relies on figures from the GSMA to confirm the growth of eSIM. The global association of operators estimates that 60% of smartphones sold in 2025 will be compatible with this technology. The B&YOU brand intends to ride this wave.

With this new offer, Bouygues Telecom is also taking on competitors like Free and its 5G package. The latter includes 35 GB of 5G or 4G in more than 110 destinations (350 GB in France) for €19.99 per month (reduced rate for Freebox customers). The operator's announcement comes a few days after the launch of a connected watch... to disconnect children.

For French people venturing abroad or foreigners visiting France and Europe, Bouygues Telecom also unveiled an eSIM offer called InternationalSIM.

The "Summer Edition" offer in brief:

  • Price: €14.99 per month, no commitment.
  • Data: 150 GB in France, including 40 GB usable in more than 110 countries.
  • Technology: 100% eSIM, for simple and immediate activation (offer for new line, SIM card billed at 1 euro).
  • Calls/SMS: Included from and to France, Europe and the DOM.
