The year 2025 promises to be a historic one in terms of video games. Few years have so many very big games expected and scheduled for release in the coming days, weeks, and months. However, unlike in previous years, very few games have release dates.
This is probably due to the fact that the entire industry is holding its breath regarding Rockstar Games' communication around a certain GTA 6, still expected for this fall and feared by many publishers and developers who want to stay as far away as possible from the release of the next Grand Theft Auto.
For some titles, the expected release in 2025 may also be a forecast, which some studios will not be able to meet due to lack of time or delays in development. So, this year 2025 could well be historic, or mixed with a year 2026 which could also keep all its promises.
