Warframe: The next big update finally gets a date, it's heavy stuff

Tennos, it's time to get back to work! Teased last month at PAX East, the next Warframe update, called "The Island Web," is about to be launched. Indeed, after being announced for June by Digital Extremes, the time has now come for the studio to specify the launch date of this big update, as well as the content that will accompany it for the occasion. And clearly, they haven't done things by halves.

The next Warframe update finally dated

The new chapter of Duviri will open on June 25, which will notably mark the arrival of the 61st Warframe: Oraxia. "Isolated for years, Oraxia has become a haunting presence in the floating islands of Duviri. Once the silent guardian of Scholar's Landing, this patient predator has lost all sense of friend and foe," the studio said in its press release. For the occasion, new weapons and customizations will be offered in a bundle, consisting of the following elements:

  • Oraxia
  • Oraxia Chelicera Helmet
  • Spinnerex (Whip)
  • Scyotide (Throwing Weapon)
  • Arachna Armor
  • Ephemera Zygiella
  • Domestik Foaming Drone
  • 370 Platinum

The Warframe update will also be an opportunity for Digital Extremes to introduce a new Clan Event, “Operation: Eighth Claw,” in which Dominus Thrax calls on the Tenno to repel the incursion of the Whisper. For players, this will be an opportunity to earn various rewards and other exclusive cosmetics, while discovering a multitude of secrets hidden throughout Duviri.

Lots of new content are coming

But things don't stop there. Warframe: Webway will also introduce "Citrine Aphrodita," a new Deluxe Collection that allows the crystalline fighter to return in a radiant new form. On the agenda for this update:

  • Citrine Aphrodita Skin
  • Syandana Corazon
  • Signa Erato
  • Scythe Heavy Rubillon Skin
  • Ephemera Didyma

Finally, Digital Extremes has announced that this major update will feature the introduction of new TennoGen creations, which will expand players' customization options. These community-designed cosmetics should bring "bold new looks to the Origin System.".
