The X-Men in the MCU after Secret Wars?
There is no longer any doubt that the X-Men will join the MCU in the near future. The mutant gang has been teased several times in recent years: Beast in the post-credits scene of The Marvel Cinematic Universe, the release of the animated series X-Men 97, the return of Wolverine and his cult actor Hugh Jackman in the third installment of Deadpool last year, and the confirmation of a large part of the Fox cast in Avengers: Doomsday, including Patrick Stewart (Professor Xavier) and his enemy Ian McKellen (Magneto). For those who remember, he appeared in the first X-Men trilogy in 2000, portraying actor Bruce Davison. He was transformed into a mutant by Magneto, but died when his body rejected the mutation. Later, in X-Men 2, Mystique took on his appearance to infiltrate the government.
Bolivar Trask is the creator of the Sentinels. X-Men fans know him as Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones)) in Days of Future Past. This scientist, who believes that mutants represent an existential threat to humanity, designs intelligent robots capable of hunting them down.
Finally, Mister Sinister, a character that comic book fans are no doubt familiar with, as he is one of the X-Men's main antagonists. A geneticist obsessed with evolution and the creation of a perfect mutant race, he has yet to appear in Fox's live-action films, but is mentioned in X-Men: Apocalypse via a post-credits scene. His big Marvel debut would bring the mutant legacy full circle. A fine lineup of antagonists then.
