Gears of War 6 soon announced by Xbox?

In a few weeks, players will be able to discover the title Hellblade II, already announced as one of the strongest franchises on Xbox. But it is not the only one. The following month, the video game announcement season will officially launch, and we know some of the conferences already planned. Xbox should quickly find itself in the lot, with a ton of exclusive games as usual. Just before the official announcement of this event, many details leaked on the net revealing which big license will make its appearance during the showcase.

Gears 6, and a ton of other titles

Rumors have it that Xbox will announce the return of Gears of War with a well-deserved sixth opus. Released in 2019, Gears of War 5 (more commonly called Gears 5) had largely won over its audience, as evidenced by its Metacritic score of 84. It is therefore obvious that Gears 6 is eagerly awaited by all fans of the franchise. It must also be said that The Coalition, the studio behind the project, has long proven its ability to immerse us in immersive universes.

In all likelihood, Gears 6 could be announced during the Xbox Games Showcase. The firm always relies on a strong license to start and end its event. Despite everything, it will not be the only flagship game from the publisher to make an appearance. According to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, partner games will be present, such as Avowed and Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle.

Now that Microsoft owns Activision Blizzard, the studio will surely be added to the lineup, just like Bethesda before it. That's why some rumors claim that Xbox will take the opportunity to announce the next installment of Call of Duty, called Black Ops Gulf War. This is obviously a big piece that should be at the heart of all the attention this year. Don't panic PlayStation players, Call of Duty won't be able to be an Xbox exclusive for the next 10 years - at least.

A date already brought forward

The best part is that the leaks reveal the date of all these announcements. If Microsoft hasn't confirmed any of this yet, it seems that we'll be able to watch the Xbox Games Showcase x Bethesda x Activision Blizzard on June 9. This is a credible date knowing that it will surely be part of the Summer Game Fest and that it starts on June 7. Despite All in all, we will have to wait for confirmation from the publisher before moving forward on the content of the event. No doubt that every detail will be closely scrutinized knowing that this conference is each year the most resounding and the most promising.
