From now on, you will be able to change your broom into a flying carpet, your wand into a pink baseball bat and even add new spells and new quests to your Hogwarts Legacy game on PC, allowing you to extend the life of the game by many hours and bring a lot of fun to the game universe.

But that's not all. The free update is accompanied by a patch that fixes and improves many aspects of the game, including Ray Tracing. Among the improvements, we can note:

  • An improvement in Ray Tracing with a quality superior ray-traced reflections to deliver sharper, more detailed visuals. Ray tracing is now enabled for bodies of water like Black Lake.
  • Ray tracing has more options so players can "customize the visual experience for their hardware."
  • The quality setting for each ray tracing feature is exposed, with the exception of RTAO (Retraced Ambient Occlusion).
  • Nvidia users can now enjoy support for DLSS4 and Ray Reconstruction technologies.
For players with an RTX 50 series GPU, you can use Nvidia's Multi-Frame Generation technology with the latest update.

Thanks to these new features, the game gains in beauty and detail. Unfortunately, still no information regarding a possible arrival of this update on consoles. According to the latest rumors, a Hogwarts Legacy DLC allowing an extension of the story mode with about fifteen hours of additional content would be expected this year with a "Definitive Edition".

At the end of 2024, Warner Bros. Games confirmed the production of Hogwarts Legacy2 which was now an absolute priority, since the game should be closely linked to the new Harry Potter series on HBO whose release is scheduled for 2026.
