Oops, Samsung accidentally confirms the Galaxy Z Flip Fe

The prospect of a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip in 2025 has been gaining momentum for several months. Here is an official and probably accidental confirmation from Samsung.

A journalist working for SmartPrix and Gizmochina published a tweet clearly implying this.

Oops, Samsung accidentally confirms the Galaxy Z Flip Fe

Using a screenshot, he claims that Samsung has added a new reference to its servers dedicated to software updates. However, if we rely on the serial number, SM-F761B, it should be the famous FE. More specifically, the presence of the letter B would suggest that it would be a variant for the European market, which would at the same time confirm the release of the model in France.

What to expect from the Galaxy Z Flip FE?

The Z F Flip FE would inherit an Exynos 2400e chip, a slightly less powerful version of the Exynos 2400 present on the Galaxy S24. The choice of an Exynos chip from last year means two things: Samsung wants to lower the bill and the performance should be in line with a high-end smartphone from 2024, which is still very honorable.

For the rest, we can expect a foldable screen relatively similar to that of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which as a reminder is a 6.7-inch Amoled with a ratio of 21/9. We can imagine that like Motorola, which offers two foldables for two different price ranges, Samsung is making some savings on the external screen. The Galaxy Z Flip FE could for example return to the small format screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and 4.
