Philips Hue announces the integration of an AI-powered lighting assistant. This new feature will allow users to create personalized lighting scenes based on their needs or preferences, simply by using their voice or written commands in the Hue app.
A tailor-made AI-powered lighting assistant for Philips Hue
Philips Hue is introducing an AI-powered lighting assistant designed to offer deeper customization of lighting scenes. By entering commands such as “Create a mood for a romantic dinner” or “Give me a scene for a garden party” in the Philips Hue app, users can generate specific moods. It is also possible to use voice commands for even greater simplicity.
The assistant can suggest existing scenes from the Philips Hue gallery or create new ones based on preferences expressed. It also offers options to adjust the settings of connected lights, including changing the intensity or colors. The feature is obviously compatible with all Hue bulb models.
Other new features announced
After Samsung TVs, the brand is extending the compatibility of the Philips Hue Sync TV application to LG TVs. In addition, the Philips Hue Datura ceiling light, capable of changing color and equipped with frameless light panels, is now available in the United States starting at $299.99.
In terms of security features, Philips Hue has integrated sound detection of fire alarms as well as the ability to broadcast live video feeds from cameras via Amazon Alexa or Google Nest Hub. Users can also set schedules and access their cameras directly from their smart devices.
