Surprise, this Star Wars game is coming to the game Pass in a few hours!

Microsoft has announced some great news for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. A game beloved by Star Wars fans will make a surprise arrival in the service's catalog via the Electronic Arts interface. Indeed, Star Wars Jedi Survivor will soon be integrated into EA Play, a tool that allows you to play the studio's titles in advance using a monthly subscription. This service is one of the benefits of Microsoft's Game Pass, at least for some users.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the latest installment in the franchise that began with Fallen Order. The game follows the adventures of Cal Kestis, a Jedi dedicated to restoring Order while being the Empire's public enemy number 1. This second installment has him traveling through previously unknown systems, in search of a particularly tough adversary who threatens to destroy everything. Released last year, EA confirms that the game is already arriving in its service catalog on April 25.

For Ultimate and PC subscribers

In two days, EA Play subscribers will be able to enjoy it, but they won't be alone. Since the service is linked to to the Xbox Game Pass, it's a safe bet that this availability will also be effective for those who have an Ultimate formula or a PC Game Pass. Unfortunately, subscribers to the basic formula on console will not be able to benefit from it. For the moment, there is no confirmation that it will also be accessible via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

As a reminder, the Game Pass is available at the price of 10.99 euros per month for standard access on console and 9.99 euros on PC which gives you access to a large library of games that is regularly renewed. For 14.99 euros, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also gives you access to the cloud and the EA Play game library. Electronic Arts' service is available for 5.99 euros per month or 39.99 euros per year.

One of the best Star Wars franchises

We can only recommend that you try Star Wars Jedi: Survivor if you have never done so before. Building on the experience of its predecessor, it contains a strong story and many improvements in terms of gameplay – a larger, more readable map, and increased combat possibilities, etc. Surprisingly, it is not mandatory to have played Fallen Order to understand the events of the second game, although it is recommended.

For the moment, no sequel has been announced even if players are counting on it. The end of the last chapter leaves the story hanging. EA has never confirmed that it is working on a third opus, but anything is still possible. On the other hand, we know that at least two other Star Wars games are in the works for the studio, which has however lost exclusivity about the video game adaptation of the franchise. Perhaps we'll learn more during the summer announcement season, which begins in just a few weeks.
