Why use a trackpad when you can have a real computer! This is the iconoclastic proposition of the Kidwants KN1, a mini-PC sold for around a hundred dollars. At this price, you shouldn't expect miracles: the machine contains a Celeron N4000 processor, 128GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, a UHD Graphics 600 graphics circuit that allows it to display in 4K via HDMI.
A mini-PC at your fingertips
The computer also has four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and a jack port. Very ordinary up until now, but the machine is out of the ordinary with this astonishing touchpad that even has the luxury of being multi-touch! This will allow you to use a three-finger gesture to return to the Windows home screen, but also two-finger scrolling and one-finger clicking of course.
Would any sane user actually want to use the Kidwants as a trackpad? It seems hard to believe, especially since such a device must quickly heat up under the fingers. Perhaps for those who are so short on desk space that there’s nowhere to put a mouse or a proper trackpad?
