A troc amateur thief takes a car ... and negotiates to return it!

A mishap worthy of a comedy film recently took place in Toulouse. A driver, who came to recover her parked vehicle near Matabiau station, found herself faced with a scenario as unexpected as it was absurd. What should have been a simple return trip turned into a surreal negotiation with an unorthodox thief.

It all starts when the young woman cannot get her hands on her car keys. After retracing her steps in vain, she returns to her vehicle parked in the parking lot, hoping for a miracle. It is there that she makes a stunning discovery: a stranger is comfortably seated in the passenger compartment of his car.

An exchange like no other

Far from being intimidated, the intruder then offers a most unusual deal. He would agree to leave the vehicle and return the keys, but on one condition: that the owner give him her smartphone, a pack of cigarettes and a few euros. A ransom demand that is, to say the least, original, and leaves the victim speechless.

Once the exchange is made and the lout has left, the young woman comes to her senses and immediately contacts the police. The police, certainly intrigued by this unusual story, quickly begin hunting for the suspect.

Their efficiency soon pays off. In record time, the thief is apprehended, putting an end to his brief career as chief negotiator. The man will soon have to answer for his actions in court, but it remains to be seen how the court will react to this unusual case.
