Assassin’s Creed Shadows: an innovative feature that should appeal to many players

The release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is fast approaching. In a month from now, players around the world will have the opportunity to discover the adventures of Yasuke and Naoe and dive into the heart of feudal Japan. Ubisoft is thus active on the communication of the game and multiplies the announcements. Today, we discover the Canon Mode, a new rather innovative feature that should satisfy everyone.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows: the dialogues to optional multiple choices

With Cannon Mode, Ubisoft offers players the opportunity to choose and customize their experience. For players who are not fans of RPG (role-playing game) games and prefer to opt for a narrative experience with pre-selected cutscenes and dialogues, it will be possible to disable multiple choices. Thus, players will be able to enjoy a more narrative game and a straight-line plot.

For players who, for their part, enjoy role-playing games and who like to direct their story and stories, it will be possible to keep this feature to play like in the latest Assassin's Creed installments.

Ubisoft specifies that this option does not affect the difficulty of the game and that it will still be possible to change the main character in the open world. The French publisher warns, however, that this option cannot be changed once activated! It will therefore be necessary to choose carefully from the start of the adventure.

As a reminder, Assassin's Creed Shadows is expected on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on March 20. Despite the many controversies that have affected the title for several months, Ubisoft recently confirmed that pre-orders were very encouraging since they were at the height of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, namely the second best-selling game in the history of the saga, behind Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
