Dolby Vision is finally available on Canal+. The first compatible films will arrive on the platform from March 28, but only in video format. demand for the moment.
Last September, Canal+ launched the Canal+ UHD HDR channel (channel 100), which broadcasts programs in 4K HDR quality and with Dolby Atmos sound. Dolby Vision is a high dynamic range video technology. It allows for a more intense image, with richer colors and stronger contrast. To enjoy it, your equipment must be compatible, whether it's your television or your decoder/TV box if you have one.
As for TV manufacturers, be aware that Samsung does not offer Dolby Vision on any model. The brand remains faithful to the HDR10+ standard, an alternative it helped develop. So you can forget about Dolby Vision if you have a Samsung TV. At LG, Sony, HiSense, TCL or Philips, compatibility varies depending on the model. Most fairly recent 4K references support this format.
Dolby Vision is coming to @canalplus with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice starting tomorrow (and in Dolby Atmos too).
