Having a good gaming headset is essential to enjoy your games in good conditions. This is even more true if you enjoy horror experiences that focus heavily on atmosphere or simply titles in which storytelling plays a central role.
Fortunately, there is no shortage of high-quality gaming headsets on the market. HP, with its HyperX brand positioned as a market benchmark for many years, will complicate the decision-making process for gamers with its new Cloud III S headset. This improved version of the HyperX Cloud III has what it takes to captivate consumers thanks to its design and impressive battery life.
HP unveils the HyperX Cloud S III
HP is presenting a new gaming headset at GDC 2025. It is simply called the HyperX Cloud S III. As its name suggests, it is an improved version of the HyperX Cloud III marketed by the American manufacturer. The Cloud III S headset stands out above all for its battery life of up to 120 hours in 2.4 GHz mode and up to 200 hours in Bluetooth mode on a single charge.
“HyperX-tuned acoustics ensure crystal-clear audio, and the durable yet flexible design, boom and boomless mic options, and customizable earcup plates allow gamers to play longer, sound better, and do it in style,” HP said in its press release.
Note that the Cloud III S is also a bit smaller than the Cloud III and Cloud III Wireless, making it easier to support for long hours and store. HP doesn't provide many more details on this new accessory. Furthermore, the American manufacturer has not yet announced the price or exact release date of the Hyper X Cloud III S. We simply know that this new headset is expected to hit the market next May.
The Hyper X Cloud III cost €119.99 when it was launched in 2023. The Hyper X Cloud III will likely be worth at least that price when it is released this spring. Remember that a certain Bose QuietComfort SC is available at a low price for a few days.
