Neo by Elgato: a range of turnkey streaming equipment

Getting started in streaming in 2024 has never been easier... and more stylish. Elgato, a leading brand in the industry, is unveiling a brand new, extremely comprehensive range of equipment. On its own, it allows you to have lighting, a microphone, a camera and even a capture box or a Stream Deck. Made up of 5 essential elements, the Neo range offers a minimalist look in a clean white that we would see in all modern setups in 2024.

See and hear with class

The goal of this range is to offer easy-to-use accessories of impeccable quality. It starts with basic equipment, such as the Neo Wave microphone. Scattered on an extra-high stand, it adapts perfectly to a natural posture to capture sound accurately. All-in-one, the microphone includes a foam pop filter, a headphone jack and a cable management system. It has a mute button – which is very useful when using it – and is plug and play on all USB-C devices. This is the case for all accessories in the Neo range.

More than just sound, the collection allows you to immortalize your moments in images with the Facecam Neo camera. Positioned in the entry-level range, it allows you to capture full HD videos at 60 frames per second, with an optional HDR function. What better way to go with it than the Key Light Neo, a light panel with integrated controls and a battery of small accessories to position it properly.

The ease of streaming

With the previous equipment alone, it is possible to create your own setup, design, minimalist and extremely simple to configure. But the Neo range is also two other products entirely dedicated to high-quality streaming. The first is a capture box in line with what Elgato has always offered. Will its HD60 be dethroned by the Neo box in terms of popularity?

In terms of specifications, it has a pass-through resolution of up to 4K60 HDR, and a recording resolution of up to 1080p60. For its low price (€129.99) it does not have an input for audio devices, but it does have HDMI connectivity and a USB-C port for plug and play use. We add to this that it is small, light, and discreet: the ultimate combo.

Finally, the latest equipment in the Neo range is a revised Stream Deck mini, with more features, and a slightly more curved design. It has 8 buttons, can accommodate folders and several pages of shortcuts. The big new feature is the info bar that displays the date and time, as well as the two contact points that allow you to navigate between pages in a much more fluid and intuitive way.

Price and availability

For the Neo range, the watchword is accessibility. This is reflected in the controls, connectivity and price. The few accessories in this collection are displayed at rather affordable prices, while remaining in reliable performance for most products. The microphone, the Stream Deck and the lighting are available at the price of €99.99. Only the case is more expensive (€129.99) and the camera is not yet available, so we do not yet know at what price it will be sold.
