Nvidia's latest driver for its graphics cards brings some new features and fixes several annoying bugs, including the recent black screen issues seen with the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090.
Some owners of an RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 reported experiencing black screen issues with their new graphics card. Nvidia had promised a patch, which is now available, integrated in the latest GeForce Game Ready 572.60 driver, which we can only advise you to install on your PC via the recently updated Nvidia application.
This new version of the driver also includes support for DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation technology for the games Naraka: Bladepoint and Monster Hunter Wilds, the latter of which was released today. The manufacturer also announces compatibility with G-Sync for 29 new monitor models, belonging to the brands Acer, AOC, Asus, Dell, LG and Phillips.

Nvidia says it is aware of three other bugs that could not be fixed with driver 572.60, but should be resolved soon with another release. “PC may boot to a black screen on some monitors when connected via DisplayPort”, it is reported. Additionally, changing the state of the “Show GPU activity icon in the notification area” option does not take effect until the PC restarts. Finally, the PC may display an error message 0xA: IRQL_not_less_or_equal in-game if HDR is enabled.
