After months of waiting, Samsung is finally lifting the veil on the rollout of One UI 7. The brand has just revealed when its older models will receive this update based on Android 15. And we have good news: the launch is imminent.
Every year, Samsung updates its devices with a new version of its One UI interface, bringing improvements and new features. In 2024, the brand launched One UI 7 with the Galaxy S25, but users of older models still had to wait. Until now, only a beta version was available for some devices, leaving users uncertain about the release of the final version.
Samsung has finally announced that the official rollout of One UI 7 will begin on April 7. The update will first be available for the Galaxy S24 range, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The brand then plans a gradual expansion to other models in the following weeks.
One UI 7 arrives on April 7 on many Galaxy smartphones
According to Samsung, after the first models, One UI 7 will be gradually deployed on other smartphones and tablets. The update will then arrive on the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, before reaching the Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 tablets. These devices will benefit from the new features of Android 15, with optimized performance and a smoother interface. The manufacturer also plans to update update other older models, but no specific date has been communicated for them yet.
With this announcement, it seems that One UI 7 Beta 5 is the last test version before the transition to the stable version. However, a final beta could still see the light of day before the official launch. The OS will bring several new features, including reworked animations, a redesigned settings panel, and improvements based on artificial intelligence. Some features of the Galaxy S25, such as the Audio Eraser tool to remove background noise from videos, could also be integrated into certain compatible models. After several months of waiting, Samsung finally seems ready to offer a stable and optimized version of its interface.
