The Handmaid’s Tale: The final trailer for season 6 is there, and it sends heavy!

Great news for fans of The Handmaid’s Tale: the final trailer for the sixth and final season has finally dropped!

It’s been eight years since this series adapted from Margaret Atwood’s masterpiece won over a veritable army of die-hard fans thanks to its captivating dystopian plot, its resonance with many current themes, the high quality of the production and the first-class acting of Elizabeth Moss, particularly convincing in the role of June Osborne. But all good things must come to an end, and the series' end is now fast approaching. Suffice to say that the directors will undoubtedly be keen to offer a resounding conclusion to their audience - and if we are to believe the trailer, this final season seems well on its way to achieving it.

The time for revolution has come

We already knew that the opening of this sixth installment would mark the beginning of the long-awaited revolution against the totalitarian and theocratic regime of Gilead. June will obviously play a key role in this rebellion as a leader, with the help of Luke and Moira, while Serena continues to try to reform the institution from within.

From the first seconds of this new trailer, we immediately understand that this season will be more than ever structured around the themes of resistance, emancipation, justice, courage and solidarity. June's unwavering determination is evident in this two-minute clip, while several other key characters in the series also reach the point of no return.

These include Aunt Lydia, superbly played by Ann Dowd, who increasingly struggles with the implications of her loyalty to Gilead. This is also true for Nick Blaine, who struggles to navigate the ocean of ethical dilemmas created by his attachment to June. All these strong and nuanced personalities are now set to collide in this final season which promises to be thrilling, rich in emotions as well as confrontations, both physical and moral.

We invite you to join us from April 8th on Prime Video and OCS so you don't miss a crumb of this apotheosis which promises to be grandiose in every way!
