Avengers Doomsday is still a long way from hitting theaters, but its supposed casting is already the subject of much speculation. It's now Paul Rudd, aka Ant-Man,'s turn to stir up the rumor mill.
Will it work? Won't it? The casting of the upcoming Marvel film Avengers Doomsday serves as a pretext for a Bingo game where numbers are replaced by the names of actors or their superhero equivalents. Since the confirmation of the return of Robert Downey Jr. not as Iron Man, but as the big bad Doctor Doom who gives his name to the feature film, everyone has been making their predictions. In some cases, the actors themselves put an end to the suspense by announcing their presence. For others, it's more complicated.
For example, we can refer to leaked concept art featuring this or that character, but even with that, doubt remains. And why not ask the main parties directly after all? That's what the Collider media outlet did during an interview with Paul Rudd, the man in the Ant-Man suit. His answer is cryptic to say the least, but not interesting either.
Paul Rudd, aka Ant-Man, laughs at questions about his presence in Avengers: Doomsday
Asked if he's been in recent contact with the Russo brothers, the directors of Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, Paul Rudd replies: "They have my number. They know where I'm at, that's all I can say. I don't really know how to play this kind of thing. "Neither yes nor no, in short. Knowing that filming for Avengers: Doomsday will soon begin in London, the journalist then asks if the actor plans to go there soon.

"Isn't everyone going to London soon in this sector? [the cinema, editor's note]," Paul Rudd blurted out. Everyone is free to take this as a confession to half-words or a way of dodging the issue so as not to say that he doesn't know anything. We have plenty of time to have official confirmation, Avengers Doomsday will be released in France on April 29, 2026.
