Xbox now allows you to stream your games on Discord

The Xbox version of Discord is becoming (almost) as complete as its PC counterpart. Since the introduction of the communication service on the Redmond firm's console last September, it has been a delight for gamers. The same is true for PlayStation, where Discord has been facilitating discussions between gamers since March 8, 2023. In the era of widespread cross-play, Discord is a real bridge between gamers from all walks of life. However, it is at Xbox that the service is once again taking a step ahead.

Until now, only PC and mobile players had the joy of sharing their gaming sessions on a server or in private discussions. But what about No matter, this streaming feature adored by users is finally coming to console. The option will be accessible directly from the Xbox interface: we explain how to do it.

How to stream your Xbox games on Discord?

For now, live streaming of gameplay via Discord is only available to members of the Xbox Insider program. You can sign up today via the dedicated application. Otherwise, you will have to be patient while waiting for this feature to be rolled out to all players. The official date has not yet been shared but should follow a few weeks of testing.

If you already have access to the Insider program, enjoying Discord streaming on your console today couldn't be simpler. To do this, simply link your Xbox account to Discord's if you haven't already. Once this action is done on the chat service client, all you have to do is go to the console interface. By pressing the Xbox button on the controller, you can go to the dedicated tab to discussions and select Discord.

Choose your server and channel (you can also join a private discussion via the PC or mobile launcher and the “Transfer to Xbox” feature): you will then discover the “Broadcast your game” option, which will launch the stream with a single click! . Be careful though, unlike the PC feature which can go up to 4K resolution for Nitro subscribers, streaming on console will be limited to 1080p. The frame rate will however display no limit.
