OpenAI is updating ChatGPT's voice to enable much more fluid and natural conversations than before. Gone are the days when AI constantly interrupted you. Watch the result in video.
How do you use ChatGPT? By writing to it? By showing it images? By talking to it? The artificial intelligence behind the tool is capable of responding to you in all 3 situations, but perhaps soon you will much prefer the last one.
OpenAI, the parent company, is announcing an update to ChatGPT's advanced voice mode. This is the one you activate by tapping or clicking on the waveform icon to the right of the text entry bar in the application. It's also worth remembering that you can choose between different voices, each with its own tones.
Currently, AI has an unfortunate tendency to interrupt us, resulting in choppy conversations that are difficult to follow. This flaw has almost disappeared, which means that ongoing conversations will be much simpler from now on.
ChatGPT greatly improves its voice mode for natural discussions
The update is being rolled out to all chatbot users, whether they use it for free or through a paid subscription. However, those who have subscribed to a plan benefit from additional exclusive features. For example, more concise voice responses and a more engaging "personality" for the AI. In any case, talking to ChatGPT becomes more pleasant and more intuitive.

You can see a demonstration of the update (in English) in the video below. We notice that, in fact, ChatGPT never interrupts the user, even if she sometimes leaves quite long gaps in her sentence that could be interpreted by the AI as an opportunity to speak.
The conversation is also very natural and fluid, as if the person were talking on the phone with someone they know. One more reason to switch from text queries to voice. And remember to speak politely, it might be important in the future.
