Since the launch of the Apple TV+ original series, Ted Lasso is undoubtedly the most highly recommended and critically acclaimed. And for good reason, it's been a success since its very first season. Good news, season 4 has just been made official and we know the first details.
Jason Sudeikis reprises his role as Ted Lasso, but also that of executive producer of the series alongside Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel. Among them, there is also a new face since Jack Burditt (Nobody Wants This, Modern Family) joins the Ted Lasso family as executive producer.
As for the casting, the return of the other emblematic actors remains uncertain. Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift and Juno Temple are expected to continue to appear on the bill. Phil Dunster, who plays Jamie Tartt, would not be him no longer part of the game due to commitments on other projects.
What do we know about the storyline?
This is a season that is likely to move fans of Ted Lasso. The events of season 3 ended with some moral dilemmas whose consequences will have to be dealt with in the next batch of episodes. We know that the first chapter of season 4 will take place in Kansas before returning to the United Kingdom afterwards. Jason Sudeikis says about the next season:
More news to coming
For the moment, no date or trailer has been revealed to the public, which leaves plenty of room for suspense. Only a few posters have made the rounds on the internet, but they don't give any hints about what's to come. It's already been two years since viewers last got their dose of football and good humor. While it's already too late for a March release, we can still hope to see season 4 of Ted Lasso on our screens a little later in the year.
