Zeekr's first plug-in hybrid vehicle is a behemoth. By unveiling the 9X SUV, the brand has added a giant to its range, as it has three rows on board and a massive design, close to the codes of Rolls-Royce, and notably its Cullinan SUV. To get a better idea of its size from its first photos, let's mention its dimensions: 5.239 m long, 2.029 m wide, and 1.819 m high. In length, it beats a BMW X7 and a Mercedes GLS and is 25 centimeters longer than an Audi Q8. According to the brand, the 9X has integrated the world's largest grille on the front. Just that.

To power this behemoth, the Chinese brand of the Geely group has opted for a plug-in hybrid. The thermal block boasts a 2-liter displacement capable of developing 275 hp. It is coupled with an automatic gearbox. only three gears, since it will work in tandem with two electric motors. In total, the Zeekr 9X will deliver 885 hp. Enough power to allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. According to its Chinese CLTC cycle (more flexible than the European WLTP), the autonomy would reach 380 kilometers, provided that the engines are not pushed to their limits, of course.

The Zeekr's excess continues in the recharge

To continue in the excess, Zeekr has announced an architecture not 800 but 900 volts, capable of taking the charging power to higher levels and taking only 9 minutes to go from 20 to 80%. The car is also equipped with a 48-volt electrical system to power auxiliary equipment, including the active air suspension (two-chamber), which will have to withstand body movements and irregularities under the SUV. For flat turns, active stabilizer bars will also help manage centrifugal force.

Even if it looks like a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the Zeekr 9X will certainly cost half as much. Pricing outside of China has not yet been revealed, nor have marketing details (will it be available in Europe?). However, we can assume that it would be around 70,000 euros, while it costs the equivalent of 60,000 euros (500,000 yuan) in China. Meanwhile, other Zeekr models have arrived in Europe, such as the 001, X, and 7X, all electric. In China, other models compete directly with Volvo, another brand belonging to the Chinese group Geely, such as the 009 (compared to the recently discontinued EM90).
