Expected for summer 2025 on Disney+ in France, the series Alien: Earth looks promising and offers a new short teaser. A prequel to the Alien saga, it promises to send xenomorphs to Earth for the first time, and the extract seems to indicate that they will not be the only creators to be wary of. The 30-second sequence focuses on the discovery and transport of several dangerous extraterrestrial life forms. It opens with a voiceover that declares: "This ship has taken... five different life forms from the darkest depths of the universe. Each of these species is as unique as it is deadly. Monsters.
Brief and intense, the video offers a dark and disturbing atmosphere, faithful to the spirit of the famous saga. Containment crates can be seen aboard a spaceship, suggesting that the crew is transporting several alien creatures, and not just the franchise's iconic xenomorph. This teaser confirms that the series, imagined by Noah Hawley, intends to explore new forms of extraterrestrial life, while paying homage to the atmosphere of Ridley Scott's original film.
What will Alien: Earth be about?
As a reminder, Alien: Earth will tell the story of the discovery of a crashed ship on Earth in 2120, leading a young woman and a group of soldiers to confront predators from elsewhere, in a story that takes place two years before the events of the 1979 film. The cast includes Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther and Essie Davis.
Despite Despite this new announcement by Disney+, the release date of Alien: Earth remains unknown. The platform is content to see it "this summer". Even Alien Day on April 26th didn't reveal anything more about the event series, which will mark the very first television adaptation of the saga. The latter includes seven films released between 1979 (Alien: The Eighth Crossing) and 2024 (Alien: Romulus).
