Ubisoft continues to refine Assassin's Creed Shadows with a new update available this April 16. This patch 1.0.3 focuses on several technical fixes, including some highly anticipated ones. If you've encountered some issues since launch, this update should interest you.
A feature paused in Assassin's Creed Shadows
First change to note in Assassin's Creed Shadows: the multi-sale function in shops has been disabled. The cause was unexpected problems encountered by some players. Ubisoft prefers to play it safe. The feature will return in a future patch, once the adjustments have been made.
Also good news: the problem preventing some players from calling their allies has been resolved. This feature is essential in certain combat or infiltration phases. It is now making a comeback. On the technical side, the patch brings stability improvements to Assassin's Creed Shadows, particularly on PC, where Slowdowns and a crash during the prologue have been fixed.
Welcome visual improvements
Some fixes also target the visual aspect of Assassin's Creed Shadows. The Yasuke costume no longer suffers from graphical distortion after dodging. The “Dragon's Claw” skin no longer crashes the game, and you can use it again without any problems. The visual customization of this weapon is also reactivated with this patch.
A bug causing a loss of sound has also been fixed. This restores a more coherent in-game atmosphere for Assassin's Creed Shadows. On the PlayStation 5, Ubisoft has fixed several issues, particularly around HDR and PSSR on PS5 Pro. Specific crashes console have also been supported. As for players on Xbox Series X|S, they must plan on downloading 11 GB to apply the update.
With this patch, Ubisoft shows that it remains attentive to the community. The studio is quickly correcting the flaws identified since the release, while preparing the next adjustments. This is certainly not the last patch for the game, but it is already A step in the right direction to refine the Assassin's Creed Shadows experience.
