A second wave of superheroes announced in the cast of Avengers: Doomsday?

After a video whose (interminable) wait made Internet users smile,Marvel revealed part of the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. The Thunderbolts*, the Fantastic Four, the famous figures of the MCU for years now (Thor, Ant-Man, Loki, Black Panther, Sam Wilson as Captain America), and the return of several original X-Men.

But among this great lineup of superheroes, we can't help but note a few notable absences: Deadpool, Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, The Guardians of the Galaxy, or Hulk. But the House of Ideas seems to have kept aces up its sleeve, and should soon announce the rest of the casting for its big superhero reunion.

A cult X-Men is missing

The insider close to Hollywood and the Marvel universe Daniel Richtman didn't wait to announce a new name: Halle Berry, the American actress who played Storm and a prominent member of the X-Men. Already When asked about her possible return in the next two Avengers, the former Catwoman and James Bond girl was evasive, but focused on the importance - as a woman of color - of playing a marginalized and discriminated against character.

The arrival of the X-Men in the Marvel universe was an open secret, especially since Captain America 4: Brave New World. But while some expected a completely new cast, it is indeed the leading figures of the 2000s films who are donning the costume again, decades later. So we expect After Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Ian McKellen as Magneto, and James Marsden as Cyclops, Storm, Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), and Famke Janssen (Jean Grey) are among the second round of names announced.
