A composer with many faces
A protégé of the legendary Elmer Bernstein, McCreary made a name for himself in 2004 with his daring work on Battlestar Galactica. Since then, he has enjoyed a string of successes, including spectacular series, award-winning documentaries, Hollywood blockbusters, and video game blockbusters. His work navigates with ease between epic symphonies, ethnic sounds and rock power, without ever losing his identity.
Recently, he was nominated for the third consecutive year at the Grammy Awards, this time for his music for the DLC God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla. A recognition that underlines his unique place in the contemporary musical landscape.
The Singularity, between narrative rock and dystopian imagination
While the tour promises to revisit McCreary's great classics, it will also be an opportunity to discover The Singularity live, a project in its own right. This album, conceived like a musical and visual epic, is accompanied by a graphic novel. It combines choirs, orchestra, traditional instruments from around the world, and an impressive cast of guests from rock and metal: Slash, Serj Tankian, Corey Taylor, Joe Satriani, and many others.
The lyrics are carried by famous voices like Lee Pace, Danai Gurira and Ryan Hurst, giving the whole thing a cinematic dimension in its own right.
With this tour, Bear McCreary takes a new step in his career, determined to to make Europe vibrate to the rhythm of his unforgettable scores. A unique immersion in the worlds he shaped for the screen, and now for the stage.
