If you can't access Spotify this early afternoon, the problem isn't your device or your connection. The popular music streaming service is experiencing a glitch that's preventing users from accessing the app and listening to music. The service is displaying an error message, and the number of reports is exploding on Downdetector. At Journal du Geek, we also noted that it is impossible to access the service via a smartphone or computer. The first difficulties appeared around 2:25 p.m., according to the numerous testimonies on X.
Unfortunately, even the official website dedicated to ongoing issues (Spotify Status) displays an error message. On the social network X, the company took to the stage to confirm the existence of a malfunction: "We are currently aware of certain problems and are investigating them!".
While the official message mentions "certain problems," it does not provide further details on the cause or the estimated duration of the outage. The only solution, for now, is to limit yourself to listening in offline mode with the tracks you have downloaded to your device. Indeed, these do not require a network to be listened to.
We will update this article as soon as Spotify provides new information or the problem is resolved.
