This is exactly what happened recently with One UI 7, Samsung's latest interface based on Android 15.

Launched in early April, the One UI 7 update was quickly interrupted after some users in South Korea experienced problems. Some were no longer able to unlock their smartphones. Samsung then suspended the distribution to correct the errors. Now, the rollout officially resumes in several regions. Users in the United States, Africa, the Middle East, Asia... and now in Europe are reporting the arrival of the update on the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

In Europe, Samsung has resumed deploy One UI 7 on the Galaxy S24, with a BYD9-branded version that includes a significant fix. This patch fixes a critical bug that caused the initial suspension. It also brings some visual adjustments, such as a new charging animation, improved fluidity in transitions and improved management of live notifications. At the same time, users in South Africa, India, and Turkey have also received this stabilized version.

One UI 7 introduces several new features: a new camera interface, reworked icons, an audio filter, support for the Log video format, call recording, and automatic transcription. Other models, such as the Galaxy S23, S24 FE, Fold 5, Flip 5, and the Tab S9 and S10 tablets, are in line to receive the update in the coming days.
