While Disney suffered a major box office failure with its live-action adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the studio still has a good number of productions to release between now and the end of 2025. The big-eared company has just confirmed 12 upcoming films.

#1 Thunderbolts* - April 30, 2025
After Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts* will be the second Marvel Studios film to be released in 2025. The film features criminals and ex-convicts who will train the Thunderbolts to carry out missions for the American government. But during a suicide mission, the group will rebel against Valentina de Fontaine, their boss.
#2 Lilo & Stitch - May 23, 2025
The box office failure of Snow White forced Disney to revise its plans for its live-action projects. But this live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch is a must-see. Stitch is likely to be the second highest-grossing Disney film of the year due to Stitch's popularity with fans.
#3 Elio - June 18, 2025
Elio is the next Pixar film and the studio's only one to be released this year. It tells the story of a little boy, Elio, who becomes an ambassador for Earth after being mistakenly kidnapped by a spaceship.
#4 Fantastic Four: First Steps - July 23, 2025
They're coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Fantastic Four: First Steps will be the first film in Phase 6 of the MCU. Fans will be immersed in 1960s New York, and the superhero team will have to face Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds.
#5 Freaky Friday 2 - August 6, 2025
In this sequel to the 2003 film, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis play a mother and daughter who accidentally switch bodies.
#6 The Roses - August 27 2025
Directed by Jay Roach, the adaptation of Warren Adler's novel The War of the Roses will star Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman as Theo and Ivy Rose, a couple going through a difficult divorce. An adaptation had already been proposed with The War of the Roses directed by Danny DeVito.
#7 Ella McCay - September 24, 2025
In this dramedy written and directed by James L. Brooks with Emma Mackey, Jamie Lee Curtis and Woody Harrelson, we follow a young politician who must prepare to take over from her mentor who is the governor of the state and juggle her family worries.
#8 Tron: Ares - October 8 2025
15 years after Tron: Legacy, the film is getting a reboot. This third installment in the saga that began in 1982 boasts a great cast with Jared Leto, Evan Peters, and Gillian Anderson.
#9 Predator: Badlands - November 5, 2025
The franchise continues to expand with this new installment, which will feature Elle Fanning, who will play Thia, a young woman who will join forces with a young Predator who is an outcast from her clan.
#10 Zootopia November 2-26, 2025
The sequel to 2016's Zootopia will be the only animated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios to be released in 2025. After surpassing $1 billion at the box office, Zootopia 2 hopes to do as much or better. Audiences will find Judy and Nick facing a threat and going in search of a snake named Gary.
#11 Avatar: Fire and Ash - December 17, 2025
All fans of the franchise are eagerly awaiting this third installment of James Cameron's Avatar. Jake Sully will continue to carry the franchise, and a new Ash tribe will be introduced. It's a safe bet that Avatar: Fire and Ash will crush everything in its path.
#12 Deliver Me from Nowhere
After Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan in Perfect Stranger, Jeremy Allen White will play Bruce Springsteen in this film, whose release date Disney has not yet announced.
