Capcom hasn't forgotten Dragon's Dogma 2. After several weeks without news, the Japanese studio has just deployed a new patch for its successful action-RPG. No revolution on the agenda, but some welcome fixes to improve the experience of still active players. Because yes, even if the game was a hit in Even before its release in March 2024, some minor technical issues were still present.
Two issues fixed on consoles and PC for Dragon's Dogma 2
This new update is rather modest for Dragon's Dogma. No new content, no new features. Just two bug fixes. But sometimes, that's all it takes to make a game more enjoyable to play. First fix: inventory management. Some players were experiencing an issue when they had a huge number of items. In some cases, it was impossible to correctly select what they wanted. This issue is now fixed.
Second fix, this time reserved for Xbox Series X|S players of Dragon's Dogma 2. A bug prevented certain achievements from unlocking correctly if the player had met the conditions in offline mode before going back online. This small technical issue has also been fixed. In short, nothing too spectacular, but details that matter. This also helps give players the feeling of being listened to.
A discreet follow-up, but a possible DLC in preparation?
Capcom has been discreet about the future of Dragon’s Dogma 2 for several months now. The last patch was January 2025. Since then, radio silence... or almost. Some players are still hoping for a DLC. Rumors have been circulating since the end of last year, but the publisher hasn't officially confirmed anything yet. Given the game's success—more than 3.5 million copies sold—it would be surprising if the adventure ended there. Capcom could well have some surprises in store for the coming months.
