Little by little, Elden Ring Nightreign is revealing new secrets. For the past few weeks, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have been introducing us, through dedicated trailers, to the different characters we can play in this co-op spin-off of Elden Ring. After the Ironeye and the Duchess, there's a radical change in atmosphere and approach with the discovery of a new class: the Raider.
A new class that will move mountains in Elden Ring Nightreign
À With its release on May 30, 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign will feature eight predefined characters, or classes. As part of our preview, we tried four of them: the Duchess, the Guardian, the Recluse, and the Ranger. Each character will offer specific equipment, and especially unique passive and active abilities, as well as an Ultimate skill. This is in order to offer very different gameplays aimed at matching each player's playstyle. The new class announced by FromSoftware is no exception. Called the Raider, it is nothing more and nothing less than a Viking on steroids, doubling as an earth shaman.
This Elden Ring Nightreign class enjoys drinking mead in its spare time, and otherwise hitting monsters ten times its already impressive stature with equally enormous weapons. It completes its demonstration of colossal strength with earth-related abilities. The Raider can indeed make a pillar rise from the ground that can serve as an elevated platform for itself and its team. Its ultimate ability raises the earth in a huge radius to cause devastating damage.
A class that does not go for finesse, but whose raw power and abilities Altering the battlefield's ground could be a welcome addition to your run. We'll be able to see all of this in action when Elden Ring Nightreign releases on May 30th.
