Google Docs: one of the best IA features is now available in French

Since December, Google Docs has offered a writing assistant capable of generating a complete document from a simple instruction. But until now, it only worked in English. "Help me create," as it's called, now understands and writes in our language, which opens the door to very concrete uses for work, studies, and other personal projects.

Create a Google Docs document in a single sentence

It's not always easy to start a presentation, a report, or a cover letter when you don't know where to begin. This is precisely the reason for the existence of the "Help me create" tool from Google Docs, which works with the help of Gemini AI. You give it an instruction, for example "make me a business plan for an online eco-friendly clothing store," and it directly generates a structured document, illustrated if necessary, with tables, titles, written text... A powerful tool that now speaks French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, and German.

In the example above, you can give the AI a document (your notes, for example) so that it can generate a complete presentation. In other words, you save precious time on layout and drafting. Obviously, we're only talking about a starting point here, which you can then adapt to your liking, just like any Google Docs file. Professionals and students who juggle multiple projects should find this useful for avoiding writer's block while still maintaining control over what's going on. What will the final document look like?

Who can benefit from it?

For now, Google is reserving this feature for users of some of its paid plans: Business, Enterprise, Gemini (Business, Education, Enterprise) accounts, or subscribers to the Google One AI Premium offer. If you use Google Docs for free or with a classic personal account, you will have to wait a little longer.

The feature is already being rolled out. If you are eligible, the option will automatically appear in your Google Docs interface. Then simply click on "Help me create" (Help me create), give sufficiently clear instructions, and the tool takes care of the rest. The addition of the language of Molière is a welcome addition for those who do not master that of Shakespeare.
