GTA 6 is reportedly making a lot of money even before its release

It's almost May, and silence on the launch of GTA 6 still reigns. But the situation could perhaps be resolved very soon. Indeed, on May 15, 2025, Take-Two Interactive will meet with its investors to present the latest financial results. The most optimistic believe that the company could therefore communicate during this period to reveal what everyone is waiting for: the release date on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

GTA 6 explodes YouTube counters

Everyone is wondering if GTA 6 will be released in 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. And we may finally have the answer soon. At least on Take-Two Interactive's side, we're sticking to the same line. The game will be available this year. But as we've seen many times before, no game is immune to a delay, especially not AAA games like Grand Theft Auto 6. To kill time until launch, some may be playing GTA 5 Enhanced, which has been available on Xbox Game Pass since April 15, 2025. And then there are others who tirelessly stay on the Rockstar Games channel and on the page of the first GTA 6 trailer. To date, this trailer has accumulated 250 million views, or nearly 100 million additional views since January 2024. It is further outpacing the Minecraft game trailer, which still boasts more than 174 million views. GTA 6 is driving fans crazy and is already making a lot of money from it even before its release. In all likelihood, it would bring in the enormous sum of nearly a million dollars from views alone. In addition to playing the GTA 6 video on repeat, players continue to post messages. And here again, a milestone has been reached.

The GTA 6 trailer has surpassed one million comments. So, sure, not everything is necessarily constructive, but it's clearly just another way for some to keep busy. Of course, many point out that there hasn't been a new video for a year, or that Donald Trump has managed to getting elected twice before GTA 6 even came out.
