In just six months, Xiaomi has managed to distribute HyperOS 2.0, its latest operating system based on Android 15, to 116 devices worldwide. This achievement is all the more notable as Samsung is getting more and more bogged down with One UI 7. But for 26 Xiaomi devices deemed old by the brand, HyperOS 2.0 will be their final major update.
Successful deployment for the HyperOS 2.0 update
HyperOS 2.0 has been deployed relatively quickly by Xiaomi on many of its smartphones, from high-end like the Xiaomi 14 to entry-level like the Redmi Note 14 (currently being rolled out). This version of the OS, which succeeds MIUI brings better performance and better power consumption, even if the new interface falls back into one of its faults.
While the next versions of HyperOS (2.1 and 2.2) are scheduled for the end of the year, Xiaomi is ending the major update cycle for some devices. In other words, these devices will still receive security patches, but no more major system upgrades.
End of the road for these 26 Xiaomi devices
