League of Legends unveils its new Champion and its season 2, it's going to be explosive

Riot Games has unveiled League of Legends Season 2 for 2025. It's going to be a busy season, we're telling you! A ton of new features have been announced ahead of this imminent release. For the occasion, the studio has been working on several optimizations, a gameplay rebalancing, and, what many expect with each update, new skins and a new Champion. Check out the full program!

All the new features in League of Legends Season 2

The next League of Legends update will bring a real facelift on April 30, 2025. First, Summoner's Rift will be getting a makeover in the colors of the Spirit Blossom, the name of this season 2. In this logic, several thematic skins will also be added for different Champions, namely Ashe, Irelia, Bard, Varus, Zyra and Ivern.

As long as we're on the subject of Champions, this new League of Legends update is going to make them Enter a newcomer! Get ready to welcome Yunara, a fighter who fits perfectly into the dreamlike universe of Spirit Blossom and the Ionian themes of this season. Still mysterious, her arrival will enrich, even more if necessary, the already very substantial roster of Riot's MOBA.

In terms of aesthetics, Riot Games convinces players here. With a sumptuous announcement trailer and a return to more soothing map colors, this promises a great season in League of Legends.

Redesigned gameplay and a new mode for LoL

Every League of Legends update comes with some changes to the gameplay. Here, Riot has focused on balancing. First, Atakhan is saying goodbye to his two separate forms and adopting a single one called "Flayed Atakhan." Second, the bounty system has been redesigned to be more consistent. Even more interesting: Void Grubs will now only appear once during the game, and later. Similarly, the Rift Herald will enter the game after fifteen minutes and will be easier to defeat.

Finally, League of Legends will welcome one last big new feature on April 30! Season 2 will introduce Brawl mode, a quick 5v5 game mode. A brand new map will be deployed for the occasion, that of the city of Bandle. The idea is to offer shorter games, with lower stakes, for more excitement. This should appeal to gamers looking for action.
