The Nintendo Switch 2 presentation answered all the questions players had. We had the release date, the price, detailed information on the new features of this evolved Switch, a line-up of games for launch and beyond, and many other details like pre-orders which are finally already open on the Nintendo store and at usual retailers. Among the spearheads of the machine, there will be Mario Kart World which revealed a rather long gameplay video during the event.

In addition to the Nintendo Direct, you can read our first review of the Nintendo Switch 2 before its official launch, given that we were able to test it ourselves, alongside other colleagues. It was our editor-in-chief who took the beast in hand and was able to discover games like Mario Kart World. A new episode that caused a sensation for all the new features seen in the gameplay trailer.
In Mario Kart World, you can now leave the track and go off-road, just like in Forza Horizon. And that's far from the only new feature. As we saw in the reveal trailer, MK World will offer veterans and beginners 24-player races, double the number of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
In addition, we witnessed new mechanics like grinding on different surfaces, or taking possession of a truck on a track, for example. As usual in this type of game, there is one essential element that is often debated: the list of playable characters. And on top of that, Mario Kart World also innovates with surprises since there are new drivers known to fans, in addition to protagonists already appeared in previous MK games.
