Like every year, Netflix announces a new price increase in France. Here's how much each plan on the streaming platform costs from now on.
It was hanging over our heads. After Netflix's price increase in the United States, it's France's turn to undergo a "price adjustment," according to the phrase used by the streaming giant in its latest letter to investors. The kind of expression that all customers dread.

Prices have been skyrocketing for all streaming platforms for the past 10 years, and it's clearly not going to stop anytime soon. As is now customary, you'll have to pay more to access the Netflix catalog without any compensation. No new features, or anything else, just a rising bill. Let's see to what extent.
Here are the new prices for the different Netflix subscriptions
The bill is particularly steep. Already, all plans are affected, even the one with ads. But also: the price to add someone to your account, mandatory since the ban on password sharing, is also increasing. Here are already what about the plans:
- Standard with ads: 7.99 €/month (compared to 5.99 €, or 2 € increase)
- Standard: 14.99 €/month (compared to 13.49 €, or 1.5 € increase)
- Premium: 21.99 €/month (compared to 19.99 €, or 2 € increase)
Account sharing now costs 5.99 € per month per person if the latter takes the version with ads, or 6.99 € per month per person without ads. Remember that only Standard or Premium plan holders can access this option. Note that with this 33% increase, the subscription with advertising is the same price as the basic one (without ads) when Netflix arrived in France in 2014.
The new prices are already in effect and posted on the Netflix website. Subscribers will likely see their bill increase starting next month, at the latest in two months. If you're fed up with the increases, or if they make you say that the service has become too expensive, the only solution is to unsubscribe from Netflix.
