It's now official. After months of rumors, leaks, and fake news surrounding Nintendo's next console, we've finally decided. The Switch 2 will arrive on June 5, 2025, at a price of €469.99 (standard version) and €509.99 (with the Mario Kart World pack). The console is expected to offer many games at launch, but also during its first few months on the market.

UPDATE – APRIL 3, 2025
Following the Nintendo Direct dedicated to the Switch2 yesterday afternoon, we now know that Switch 2 games will be offered, on average, at 79.99 euros. For some games, the price could go up to 89.99 euros. Nintendo has unveiled no fewer than 58 games, including 21 games that will be available from June 5, when the console is released. According to information from Insider-Gaming, Nintendo is planning a three-phase launch for Nintendo Switch 2 games:
- Phase 01: Exclusive games starting in June 2025
- Phase 02: Third-party games starting in October/November 2025
- Phase 03: Other games for the holiday season
Apparently, for the Switch 2, Nintendo is also planning enhanced Switch games for the Switch 2 (port genres) but with improvements and additional features, as was the case with some titles at the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
