The Pixel Watch 3, launched at the same time as the Pixel 9 range, addressed the main criticisms of previous generations (read our review). The new generation comes in two sizes (41 and 45 mm), boasts twice the brightness, and offers decent battery life—but not always great.
First information on the future Pixel Watch 4
It's on this last point, that of battery life, that Google has worked for the Pixel Watch 4 according to the OnLeaks leak relayed by 91mobiles. The future model is indeed thicker: 14.3 mm, compared to 12.3 mm for the Pixel Watch 3. It may not seem like much, but every millimeter counts in such a small product.
The site speculates that this extra weight hides a larger battery. We can only hope so, and even if it means gaining weight, as long as it serves some purpose. According to the renderings provided by OnLeaks, the future Watch obviously retains the circular design of its predecessors, but with thinner bezels, which no one will complain about.
Perhaps more interesting is the 4-pin contact that serves The charging feature has disappeared. Google has reportedly decided to integrate an induction charging system, like the Apple Watch. Two buttons (?) appear on either side of the speaker, without their purpose being known. Finally, the same two case sizes would be offered.
The technical sheet is fairly empty at the moment, but we expect a new chip; the current model uses a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, but Google could be tempted to rely on a home-made Tensor chip. For the rest, it is more than likely that this Pixel Watch 4 will be revealed in the wake of the Pixel 10.
