Pokémon TCG: Here's an exclusive preview of Team Rocket cards in French

While Pokémon TCG Pocket focuses on Shiny Pokémon, the physical trading card game has just entered a new era with Trainer Pokémon. This mechanic, which players and collectors love, was reintroduced in the Adventures Together expansion (EV09) released on March 28. The new cards were then dedicated to Mashynn(Scarlet and Violet),Nabil(Sword and Shield),Lilie(Sun and Moon) andN(Black and White). And if this collection has already made a lot of noise, the next one promises to be even more popular.

May 30th will mark the launch of the EV10 expansion, entitled Destined Rivalries (which players will also be able to discover during preview tournaments starting May 17th). This new wave of cards will bring together the Pokémon and trainers included in the Japanese expansions Heat Wave Arena and Glory of the Team Rocket, giving rise to a great reunion of icons from the franchise. Between Giovanni and his henchmen from Team Rocket, Cynthia and her Garchomp or even Lute (the protagonist of Silver and Gold) and his Ho-Oh: it goes without saying that the cards will wreak havoc. To prepare you for With this release set to be memorable, the Pokémon Company is allowing us to present two exclusive French cards.

Team Rocket's mascot, as adorable as it is formidable

Le Journal du Geek was lucky enough to receive the visuals of Giovanni's two most emblematic partners: Meowth and Persian. We can tell that the teams at Creatures – the Japanese company behind the Pokémon Trading Card Game – have redoubled their efforts to make trainer cards truly memorable collectibles, since even this common-rarity Meowth sports a detailed illustration. With its Cat-Pardage and Combo-Griffe attacks, the little feline also promises to be an asset at the start of the game in order to slow down the opponent or inflict damage quickly. Indeed, the Team Rocket Energy card already spotted in the set available in Japan will provide two dark or psychic energies to Team Rocket Pokémon, enough to use Combo-Griffe from the first attack turn.

This energy also promises to be very important for Persian-ex's first attack. True to Giovanni's attraction to money, the Pokémon offers an attack with a lucky mechanic worthy of Celadon Casino. For two colorless energies, the player will be able to look at the first 10 cards of the opponent's deck, and use the attack of one of the Pokémon discovered during this draw. Enough to inflict devastating damage in the event of a good find. Note that these cards will also benefit from rare and ultra rare illustration variants, whose French designs will be discovered directly in your boosters!
