Star Wars Outlaws is trying to bounce back after a very disappointing launch for Ubisoft. In February 2025, the game received a major update with support for PS5 Pro's PSSR, Sony Interactive Entertainment's in-house upscaling technology, and support for Nvidia RTX 60 graphics cards and DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation on PC. Likewise, ray tracing, lighting, and texture management are more stable and detailed on this platform, in addition to bug fixes.
Free Skeleton Crew content for Star Wars Outlaws
While the Massive teams are improving Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft has made some great announcements for the game. The second paid DLC, "Pirate's Fortune," will be available from May 15, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Back in September, starting September 4, 2025, you can experience this adventure absolutely anywhere with the new Nintendo Switch 2 edition. The Star Wars Celebration Japan event also notified players of a free demo to discover Star Wars Outlaws.
If you already own the game, and haven't finished it yet, a free DLC has been revealed that you'll love and will be available alongside "Pirate's Fortune," on May 15, 2025. "A new free Star Wars Outlaws cosmetic pack inspired by Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2025! This new pack will be available to ALL players on May 15 to celebrate the release of A Pirate's Fortune! More information will be announced soon." The next free DLC for Star Wars Outlaws will therefore be based on the popular Disney+ series, Skeleton Crew.
We don't have all the details yet, but the image shows an alternate version of Kay and her companion Nix's speeder in Star Wars Outlaws, which are in Skeleton Crew colors. Logically, this additional content will be available everywhere, and therefore on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you've flown to a galaxy far, far away, what do you think of the game now that it's had several patches?
