The release of Nintendo's new Switch 2 console is scheduled for June 5, 2025. In the meantime, new rumors fuel fans' anticipation every day, particularly regarding the games that will accompany the launch. Recently, several usually reliable sources have revealed that this great Bethesda classic will also be available on the console.
Oblivion Remastered is finally coming to Nintendo
As a reminder, Bethesda is a legendary name for all role-playing game fans. With titles like Skyrim, Fallout, and DOOM, the studio has made its mark on video game history. One of its masterpieces, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, released in 2006, remains a benchmark today. The remastered version, titled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, was released on April 22. Specifically, Bethesda has launched Oblivion Remasteredon PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. And rumors claim that the game could be coming to Nintendo's future console.
Can we believe this leak?
The rumor was initially leaked via the account of leaker eXtas1s, known for his revelations about the Xbox universe. Although he is not a specialist in Nintendo leaks, his history remains generally reliable. Furthermore, since Bethesda belongs to Xbox, it seems logical that the latter has inside information.
According to him, the port is currently in development. Better yet, it is well advanced. However, several gray areas remain, such as the studio working on this adaptation or the official presentation date...
The game would not accompany the launch
Unfortunately, Oblivion Remastered would not be ready to accompany the console launch. We will probably have to wait a few more months.
However, this does not detract from the excitement. If the project is successful, Oblivion will have its first release on a Nintendo console. This would be a truly historic event after a 19-year absence from the Japanese giant's products.
Proof of a more powerful Switch 2?
