Released in 2016, Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall 2 made a huge impact on its audience, despite launching in the shadow of other big titles that year. Subsequently, its studio embarked on other projects such as the Star Wars Jedi series, or the popular battle royale Apex Legends in the universe of its futuristic FPS license. Many, however, were calling for a Titanfall 3 that was eagerly awaited. According to leakers specializing in Apex Legends and generally very well-informed, players' wishes could finally soon be granted.
Titanfall 3: a dream that will finally soon become reality?
After a huge success for Titanfall 2, but not necessarily a commercial success in the eyes of its publisher Electronic Arts, many signs suggested that a Titanfall 3 would never see the light of day. In 2021, his studio Respawn Entertainment buried these hopes by indicating that a third opus was absolutely not in the pipeline. That being said, we learned in March 2024 that he was working on a "secret game," most likely in the universe of his futuristic license.
Fast forward to the beginning of April 2025. Two reputable leakers around Apex Legends each made an announcement suggesting that Titanfall 3 could soon become a reality. The first, Yorotsuki, had this to say on the subject: " Honestly, it's fun to take advantage of April to announce incredible truths in a fun way. So yes, Titanfall 3 is coming. It will be announced at The Game Awards [in December, Editor's note] at the earliest, and will officially be released in 2026.
His counterpart, Osvaldatore, completed this announcement with a logo of the game, thus confirming that he had received similar reports. Of course, these two leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. Even if we are talking about The Game Awards coming in December, let's remember that the Summer Game Fest 2025 is also coming in two short months. Respawn could also take the opportunity to discuss its highly anticipated Titanfall 3 at that time. In any case, we will have to wait for more official confirmation to be sure.
