It will soon be four years since the game Marvel's Wolverine was announced by Insomniac Games. It was during a PlayStation Showcase in September 2021. Subsequently, the studio suffered a big wave of leaks, allowing the unveiling of numerous images in the alpha phase of the title.
Since then, we have had no news of the game, inevitably increasing concern among fans. A few weeks ago, in January, when the new management of Insomniac took office, we were treated to a small update confirming that the title was still in development. Today, the studio confirms this information once again.
Marvel's Wolverine is indeed in production
This time, it is not during an official communication or via an interview that the Insomniac Games studio confirms and reassures fans about the development of their next game Marvel's Wolverine. But, directly on Twitter/X in response to a criticism from an Internet user.
While the company has just released a new patch for its game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC, an Internet user asked them where was the development of the next Wolverine game and if the latter was still in development. More than a request, we can even consider the tweet as a small tackle, accusing the studio of ignoring fans and requests around the game's production.
Faced with this somewhat salty tweet, the studio couldn't help but respond to try to lighten the mood a little.
Insomniac therefore confirms once again that the game is indeed in production, but that the studio is not yet ready to share more information. So, once again, we'll have to be patient. To date, Marvel's Wolverine still doesn't have a release date, or even a release window. The title wouldn't be expected before the end of 2026 in the best-case scenario.
