Book series fans will never again be lost when a new volume is released thanks to this feature on Kindle e-readers. It is inspired by streaming platforms.

Your Kindle reader will have a perfect option if you like books of books

If you watch series in several seasons on Netflix, Prime Video or others, there is generally a year or more between the last episode broadcast and its sequel. Unless you have an exceptional memory, it's difficult to remember what happened beforehand when you resume. Fortunately, most streaming services treat us to a short video beforehand summarizing the previous events. A practical solution that we would like to transpose to the books.

When you read works in several volumes, the interval between two is sometimes extremely long. Fans of Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin know what we're talking about. It's all the more difficult to follow when the saga expands and sometimes brings back characters introduced three or four books ago. Rejoice: you'll soon no longer be doomed to flipping through old volumes or hoping someone else online has done it for you. Amazon announces the arrival of summaries on its Kindle e-readers.

This new feature on Kindle e-readers will delight fans of literary series

On the series page in the Kindle Library, a “View summaries” button appears when they are available. Unsurprisingly, it's artificial intelligence that's responsible for creating them. Don't be afraid to press it by mistake before you've read everything; a pop-up will first open to warn you of spoilers. Only after pressing "I understand" will the summary be displayed.

For now, the option to summary by AI on Kindle is only available in the United States, knowing that it will arrive "soon" in the iOS Kindle app. Amazon does not mention rolling out the feature to other countries, but it should happen sooner or later. The main difficulty of the process is adapting to different languages.
