It has since been possible to save €25 on this repair, which is very common for this type of product.
QualiRépar certification for Apple Stores
Consumers can also obtain repair bonuses of €50 on laptops and desktop computers, €20 on game consoles, €30 on monitors, €60 on televisions, etc. The savings apply to the amount of the repair bill. All the information is on the EcoSystem website.
To benefit from this, the device must no longer be covered by a warranty or insurance, and must contact a QualiRépar repairer. Fnac Darty is one of them, as are Leclerc and many other networks… but not Apple Stores! This will change soon.
During a meeting of the Social and Economic Committee (CSE) of Apple Retail France, management announced that it would apply for QualiRépar certification. The news was confirmed by a CFDT representative and relayed by MacGeneration.
This means that very soon, it will be possible to get a small discount on the repair of an iPhone, Mac, iPad, external monitor, or HomePod—good news, considering that these operations are generally not very cheap. Apple Watches and AirPods are not among the product categories covered by the label.
The increase in Apple Stores (20 in France) may help the device gain recognition. Unfortunately, it is still too little known to the general public, as several organizations deplored last December.
