Armored Core 6 gets a new update, here's what's changing

At FromSoftware, the experiences follow one another without necessarily being alike. After having brilliantly shone with Elden Ring in 2022, then Shadow of the Erdtree, its DLC, in 2024, the Japanese studio is now preparing to make its big comeback with Elden Ring Nightreign, a new unexpected experience mixing action and survival. But before that, it appears that another title released in the meantime has also received an unexpected update: Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon.

A new update for Armored Core 6

Released at the end of summer 2023, Armored Core 6 may not have had as resounding a success as Elden Ring recently, but it has certainly found its audience despite everything. This explains why the title continues to receive new updates from FromSoftware. And while we shouldn't necessarily expect anything extraordinary, this one does come with multiple fixes that Armored Core 6 fans should welcome.

Among other things, the studio is announcing a slew of adjustments for many weapons, whose power and speed have been improved or reduced depending on the case. The same goes for certain parts of the mechas which, as you know, are at the heart of the Armored Core 6 experience. For the rest, FromSoftware announces the following fixes:

Fixes related to player AC

  • Fixed a bug that hindered the Core Expansion functionality if a weapon purge was performed immediately after activating Core Expansion.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented an attack from being treated as a direct hit if the attack was launched at the time of activating Pulse Armor against a staggered enemy.

Fixes related to online matches

  • Fixed a bug that prevented an opponent's AC from appearing correctly in Armored Core ranked matches 6.

Other

  • Fixed a bug with the “ALULA/21E” BOOSTER that caused the ascending EN consumption value to be incorrectly displayed under the part specifications.

The patch, which brings Armored Core 6 to version 1.09.1, is now available on all platforms. Please note, however, that the studio specifies that it is necessary to launch the game in online mode to install it. "The latest patch will not be downloaded if the game is configured to start in offline mode. Please check the System > Network Settings menu to ensure the game starts in online mode and downloads the latest patch," the publisher's official website reads.
