According to a new rumor, Avengers: Doomsday will also be the occasion to reintroduce an iconic Marvel character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). If this information were to be proven, it should delight all fans of the Marvel universe.
Avengers: Doomsday – all the Marvel characters in one film
As we know, the next two Avengers will be the unprecedented reunion of the entire MCU. The two Russo Brothers films are being touted as huge conclusions to the entire MCU as we know it. Logically, a huge portion of the characters introduced since 2008 in the MCU will be participating in the party. And we'll even get some extras, as the Russo Brothers will be using Marvel characters from outside the MCU, like the X-Men. In this sense, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, who play respectively Charles Xavier and Magneto in the X-Men license, are also invited to the party.
We don't really know yet all the surprises that await us in these next two installments of the Avengers license. But one thing is certain, there should be really a lot of people in the cast.
The return of this cult character?
The influencer Jeff Sneider dropped a big piece of information concerning Avengers: Doomsday on The Hot Mic. He actually suggested that Ghost Rider should be invited to the party:
I heard this week that Ghost Rider is going to play a role in Doomsday. Ghost Rider is going to be in Doomsday!
If this rumor were true, fans of the Ghost Rider would be thrilled. Now the question is who will play the famous demon from the Marvel universe. In the past, Nicolas Cage played the role of Johnny Blaze in two films released in 2007 and 2012. We won't hide the fact that we would love for the famous actor to reprise his role for this occasion. But there are other possibilities.
Indeed, the actor Gabriel Luna was also the face of the Ghost Rider in the series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. For the occasion, he played Robbie Reyes, another iteration of the biker with the flaming skull. It's difficult to know which version Avengers: Doomsday will seek to recycle. Perhaps even the Russo brothers are preparing to stage a completely new version of the character, free from his previous incarnations. Response in December 2026.
